Bathroom ideas, tested on your own bathroom.
Bathrooms are small, fixed, and expensive to redo. Trying tile, vanity, and color ideas on a photo of the room you already have shows what fits before you pick a single finish.
Why bathrooms benefit from a real photo
In a bathroom, the tub, toilet, and window rarely move. Most remodels change the surfaces around them: tile, vanity, mirror, lighting, and paint. A redesign of your own photo keeps that fixed layout and swaps the finishes, so you judge each idea against the room you actually stand in.
That matters most in small baths, where one bold tile or a dark vanity can make the space feel half its size. Seeing it first is cheaper than finding out after the grout dries.
What to compare
- Wall and floor tile. Compare a plain large-format tile against a patterned or zellige look on the same walls.
- Vanity and storage. Floating, furniture-style, and painted vanities change how much floor the room seems to have.
- Color temperature. Warm wood and brass read very differently from white, gray, and chrome in the same light.
- Overall style. Run one photo through modern, coastal, and spa-like directions, then keep the one you come back to.
How to shoot a bathroom photo that works
- Stand in the doorway and include the vanity, tub or shower, and window if you can.
- Turn on every light and open the blinds. Dim photos give dim redesigns.
- Clear towels, bottles, and laundry. Anything left in frame reads as part of the design.
- Use the normal 1x lens. Ultrawide shots bend the walls and confuse the layout.
Iterate instead of starting over
Generate two or three styles, pick the closest, and refine from there. If one version nails the tile but misses the vanity, use Edit (paid plans) to change just that part with a short prompt or a reference image.
What a redesign can't tell you
A redesign is a visual concept, not a plan. It doesn't measure the room, check plumbing or ventilation, or price materials. A redesign can also take liberties, such as changing the view through a window, as in the coastal bathroom at the top. Use the result to choose a direction and brief your contractor, then confirm fit and cost with them.
